In Viking lore, the Draugr is a spirit of a warrior who has not passed on. This leaves him to try to eternally complete his unfinished business. I wanted this piece to be able to be used in meditative practice by rubbing the gemstones in the same way you would Mala beads or Rosary beads. Ideally a wearer would use this to deal with their own issues and thoughts to work through them.
The ring is cast in sterling silver and set with garnet cabochons on the front face and black onyx on the side faces. The figure in the center is carved from ancient Mammoth ivory, which gives it the warm tone. The pearl is hand carved as well and nestles securely in its alcove at the bottom of the ring. I have accented this ring with 23k gold leaf for a vibrant pop of color and a reference to antique jewelry.
