Inspired by the tales of King Arthur. Modred is Arthur’s son in some tales and his nephew in others. He usurps Arthur’s rule and lays him to rest. This conflict is interesting I think and an excellent mirror to my Pendragon Ring. Here he is stylized in ornate armor and a crown. The band is made to look like skeletal ribs and chainmail in between. Each ring is hand finished to have highlights along the skeletal ribs and deep oxidation in the recesses. As always with my work this piece will shine up further over time as it is worn, but the recesses will stay nice and dark in the deepest areas.
